Need help with ecu software

I have downloaded omex software which is compatable with windows 95 - vista but when i try to run it, it just opens up a blank page. i have tried opening it for about two hours and im experiencing serious computer rage. can any one help ???????

what ecu a 600 ?

Never used it, and don't have an omex to try. However, just downloaded map 3000 and installed it and the software seems to install and run. I hit connect but of course it failed, but there is an option to monitor the comms connection (shift +F9). Where abouts is it failing ? If it can't connect to the ECU, Then might be worth checking you have the right coms port and speed selected. Anything in the comms monitoring window ?

I have been out tonight trying and cant get it to connect. how do i know what coms port im using?

[geek]From a Windows platform (XP, Vista etc) you can identify which COM ports you have from a snap-in called Device Manager (Windows Key + Pause, look for Device Manager). However I've got Noble Engine Management Ver 1.3 and this attempts to connect automatically to the different com ports until it detects life on one of them. If your're using a nine pin lead straight to the port, ensure COM1 is not disabled in Device Manager. If you're using a USB converter to nine pin these can be hit and miss[/geek]
