Any ash comes down then on to your P+J then best rinse well before washing, no having a quick feel with your hands like the guy did on telly (BBC news but was up in Scotland? swiped a hand across his bumper). As I understand it, this stuff is very abrasive.

sounds about right.

I'm supposed to be flying to Africa on Wednesday for holiday, not looking very hopeful at the moment !

I was living in the Philippines when Mt.Pinatubo erupted...10 miles away eek

Unbelievable ! Turned day to night for hours, and rained ash and rocks until it was over a foot deep. Then it rained, turned to a cement-like consistency and caved in the roof of our house. The looters took most of our stuff frown

Makes great soil later though. Our tomatoes turned into rampaging Triffids.smile

The Tiv will be staying in the garage if I see any sign of the stuff. irked
