Sold S2

I put the S on PH classified on Wednesday, Coming home after work the same day I had 3 people chasing it and sold it to the first viewer yesterday. Makes me wonder if it was too cheap at £4600, but then again, I was happy with that price, so I let it go. Dearer ones are tending to hang around a while unsold.
I drove 38 miles to pick him up at train station and 38 miles back to my house, car drove like a dream.

As bad as things go, ten minutes after leaving my house for a 280 mile journey home, the guy rings to say the throttle cable had snapped at the pedal end. To say I felt gutted was an understatement after singing its praises. Anyway, an hour later and loads of fiddling around in the almost dark (I forgot to take a torch in my rush to go and help him) choccy block connectors and a short piece of 'acquired' fence wire, he was on his way.
Going to ring him shortly this morning to see if things went ok

Sounds fairly normal to me...

When I bought my one, I checked it over, did all of the standard outrigger, suspension, leaks checks etc and on my way home, the gear knob came away in my hand... A few days later, the center cap for my sterring wheel fell into my lap whilst driving enthuesiastically to expose the lock nut which was amusing
