Not a specific role as such - I am just trying to find out some more information on the types of roles available and what they entail. There seems to be lots of information in the web but I'm not sure how relevant or up to date it is. I am currently working in retail credit risk modelling (Basel 2) for a large UK bank.

What role?

Not a specific role as such - I am just trying to find out some more information on the types of roles available and what they entail. There seems to be lots of information in the web but I'm not sure how relevant or up to date it is. I am currently working in retail credit risk modelling (Basel 2) for a large UK bank.

I know a bit about credit quants - from what I am told reality is less glamorous than perception in a number of cases- lots of time spent moving data around into spreadsheets - parsonally I would rather be a desk developer.
