Hi all, as you may know I have a SL600Biturbo with Kleemann upgrade, which I often
take to VMax at Bruntingthorpe and so far best top speed is 197mph.
So I feel now it is the time to to see if I can wheedle some more power out of her.
Step one is to see what she has now,so off to Car Planet Warrington, Kleemann's new northern dealers. Spoke to Lawrence to arrange all. Super technical Andy put the car on their £60000 2400bhp capable rolling road and the results as you can see below even amazed me. 679 BHP and 860 fpt.
Next step is to change the exhaust for their bespoke unit with 100 cell cats
and 3" tubing.
At the same time I will add Kleemann's LSD.
Meanwhile Kleemann will be scratching their heads to see if they can take the ECU
to the next level.
Will keep you informed as work progresses.

Mark.

upgrade work. Sun glasses needed..yikes
Sorry about the pic quality!

What revs are you pulling at Vmax and where are you on the torque & power curves?? I wonder if a change of gearing (perhaps via rear tyre sizes) might pick up a couple of mph?

197 mph = 5.628 rpm...200 mph = 5.714
As you can now see from the power curve I am just beyond peak power.
We are pretty sure the exhaust change will make a fair difference at at
these revs.
More importantly a good following wind will also help.
The next tyre size up is 285-40-18, which is 5.481 at 200 mph, tried these previously but did not improve top speed.

Im guessing the SLR is a footballers car. Either El Hadj Diouf or William Gallas!

That 600 is so cool, looks standard, which imo is the coolest look shoot

I saw that SLR at MB World a few months ago, must have been in for a service as it was covered in oily finger prints....IMO it looks fking hidious!

Your SL on the other hand must be the ultimate sleeper!

I wouldnt say ultimate sleeper as you would have to be pretty brave (and have something tasty) to have a pop at an SL600 in the first place shoot.

Agree with the SLR looks, this chrome wrapping seems pretty "common" as that car pictured is not the footballers I mentioned. Gallas has a roadster version and Diouf's has black wheels.
