Have been out playing nicely in the Griff today, after playing nicely in it yesterday too. I had run the tank down to under quarter full today when I noticed it hesitating coming round roundabouts and when performing right turns.

I thought it might be fuel starvation at the pick-up point in the tank, but thats on the left hand side, which is the side all the fuel left in the tank would drain to when turning right, so I'm a bit confused about it now. It certainly accelerated like stink and got up to 70mph very quickly and revved very cleanly through the gears at all times, so I dont think the filters in the tank or in the fuel line are blocked.

I filled it full of fuel and the problem seems to have gone away. Thats two tanks in 2 days, so at least I'm doing my bit for global warming

Has anyone had a similar problem (not filling it up with fuel I mean).

Don't rely on the fuel guage to be accurate is one thing I have learnt in my 6 years of TVR ownership.

Can't comment on what happens to the fuel in the fuel tank though as I don't know.

I know what you mean. Mines not too bad though. I can run it down to almost empty on the gauge, but then its in dire need of a good drink. When I was having problems yesterday it was about an 1/8th full which means that there will have been best part of a couple of gallons left, which is why I was a bit puzzled. Having drained the tank previously when I took it out, I know that when the gauge is almost at zero that there is still 6 litres left in the tank.

If the solution is to keep it above quarter full when pressing on, then its not the end of the world I guess.
