Good news.....bad news

Good news is the car flew through the mot today without a hitch ..... bad news is that after the car has been on axle stands all week whilst ive been checking it over,i now have a fair bit of play on the clutch pedal which im pretty sure it never had before,i can select all gears but have had to move the mat from under the pedal in order to get enough travel to dissengage the clutch,drive ok on the move too,just has around a inch and a half free play before any resistance is felt,so im thinking it needs bleeding,but unclear as to why now when it from memory wasnt like that before i raised it up....surley jacking the car up a corner at a time is not enough of an angle to allow air to be introduced into the line ? ill need to take the cover off and have a look at the level,but i had the fluid changed at the last service less than 2k ago,so would hope it was ok.

Done a search and it seems the clutch fluid res does not actually sit vertical on these cars,can anyone confirm this or not ? This may have a bearing on my issue.

Well had a look and the res was indeed empty..... no signs of any leaks external or inside the car,refilled which in all honesty wasnt a great deal as its a small chamber,bled the system and all seems ok,bit baffled to be honest,quick roadtest has revealed nothing out of the ordinary,so off to the local TVRCC meet and shall keep an eye on things.

I had exactly the same on my first griff, it would empty over winter with no signs of it on the garage floor...weird.

It kept doing it quicker and quicker eventually i had to fit a new clutch slave cylinder, and it sorted it out
