Just seen that Dan Snow (son of Peter Snow) has decided to get some mates and RIBs together to ferry people across the Channel! only asking for a small donation which will go to a charity.

Guess what... the French authorities are making it 'difficult' as its taking custom away from the ferries. Bloody frogs!

It's odd. Britain seems to have come completely to a stand.
Not perhaps as obvious/bad as the fuel protests, but somehow deeper.

In their defence, they don't know who he's taking across. He could be ferrying all those asylum seekers they allow to live around the chunnel until it gets dark.

From what i saw it seemed that they didnt like him taking people from France, assuming hes not taking people to France (slightly inefficient to do it one way!) I couldnt really see their argument - Customs this side of the water should be miffed, not the franch ones.

I prefer this one, if only for the cool name the airfield has, and the fact it floats(useful when the noisy vibratory things stop being noisy and vibratory). He's generously reduced the price too.biggrin

Does it have CVR, weather radar, lockable cockpit door, escape slides and emergency lighting?

One with the original WW2 paradrop fittings would be more efficient - no need to land here!
