Guys,

Any suggestions for somewhere to clean up and coat suspension components in the Glasgow area - I used Aztec in hillington about a year ago, but they didn't seem particularly keen on that kind of work.

I've been sanding most parts by hand - but the springs would really need blasted to get them clean - I've heard that grit blasting causes too much surface damage to springs, hence bead blasting seems to be the best option.

Google search seems just to be full of local directory listings

thanks for any suggestions

I had a set of alloys done last year by ESP Powdercoating, good job at a reasonable price, don't know what kind of blasting was done eaxctly, but I know they do it. They appeared to be very busy, doing wheels, car parts, bike parts, bike frames etc so I'm sure they can help.

They are however located in a horrible looking yard between Maryhill and Possil, I was told not to let this put me off, didn't, and was glad I used them! They have a website, just google them.

I used a company called Powdertec that are in the Industrial estate next to Harry Ramsdens below the erskine bridge. They did a fantastic job on my Alloys and I would highly recommend them. here's a linky thing http://wheelsrefurbished.com/index.html

Thanks guys, I give them both a ring (really planned this badly so far spent 4 weekends sanding & painting and have only finished the front nearside - sorting rust sucks)

That will be the Ind. Est. under the Kingston Bridgeconfused

I've used ESP and their blasting/powdercoating job on my old Honda Prelude alloys eventually lasted longer than the original Honda factory finish!!

redcard FFS NO!. Put my porsche wheels in there, they came back out with the rear tyres on the front wheels, & the front tyres unbelievably stretched onto the Rear wheels

Chameleon. Big sand blasting ability and powdercoating as well. I just had my race cars wheels done by them.
