that 2.34 is totally insane. I was 4th row at his concert and the mans hands are just bloody huge. his musical brain is also working at a totally different level to most people as well.

It took me absolutely ages to get into his music as its quite difficult to listen to. For The Love Of God is just an absolutely great piece of guitar music.

It's all well and good having the chops, it's just knowing how and when to use them.

That's what I love about Vai / Petrucci / Satch. Incendiary playing, but only when appropriate.

I've got a shortcut on my desktop to this video. I love it. I've seen Vai four times and managed to get into the after show meet-and-greet a couple of years ago. He's a very nice bloke as well as one of the greatest guitar players.

Steve Vai - Many, many tracks to choose from, but his solo intro to 'You're Here' playing the triple-neck guitar on one of the G3 tours is mind-blowing. I remember seeing him play it live on the UK tour; I was absolutely awestruck!

Paul Gilbert's Get Out of my Yard is also a favourite!

a flamenco guy called vicente amigo is as talented as they come but also a guy called stanley jordan.he plays two guitars simultaniously! hammer technique and a guitar on a stand for each hand.
