We have recently moved into a property and unfortunately it has pipes that drop down from the first floor for the radiators. The house has solid floors with parquet flooring so wanted to know what alternatives we have if we want to make them less obvious. The first plumber we spoke to did not recommend putting them in the wall as he reckoned the plaster would crack due to the heat from the pipes. Is this correct or does he just not want to do it? Also assume they could be rerouted into the corner where they would be less visible. Any suggestions?
