Well my case has been dragging on for a year now. I didn't sign it, got charged, said I didn't have the NIP they sent back to me for signature, asked them if they still had it or if it's still with the royal mail, then I said I needed to see it as I couldn't recall completing it in the first place and I wanted to see if it was a forgery etc I also got a form to complete and return to CPS if I wanted the prosecution witnesses to attend court so I chucked that in the bin and wrote to CPS suggesting they call their witnesses. They said they would and a trial date was set. Imagine my pleasure when today the CPS told me they intend to have a hearing to vacate the trial date due to witness problems! If all the witnesses were giving evidence in court who would be left to operate the mobile units and process the paperwork?? Plus these civilians never want to go to court and wait around all day. Oh, I'v asked them for the photos now as I really would like to help identify the driver and then there are my holidays coming up this summer so there will be problems with the defendant attending. Reckon you should just string them along

It's interesting that the Notice to Vacate invites me to attend or inform the court if I wont be going. Reckon I'll ignore that to as it may cause some doubt as to whether I ever received it. It's not been signed either, ends with a nice Thank you
