Norton Internet Security hides web page images
Discussion
Can anyone offer any advice ...
I have Norton Antivirus 2002 running on XP Home. The Internet Security program that runs the firewall hides pictures on various web sites. Some sites, like this one, it's pretty well behaved, but on others it hides most of them. I can turn the program off and everything appears, but then whats the point of having it?
Any ideas much appreciated.

antivirus or "norton interney security"
the latter is the general norton time for bundled firewall,av and add-ons. One of which is an 'advert blocker'
Go to start>progs>norton>norton internet security and you'll have a tab, turn off privacy control and ad blocking
Should fix the problem, Norton is kind of mediocre at ad blocking, it works but it often blocks the more enhanced sites or those requiring re-directs

stevieb - I'll give that a try when I am back on my home computer, ta.
kanes - it was the Norton Internet Security. A while ago I tweaked a setting that just said "Referer" and set it to permit. That seemed to help with some images on sites, but by no means cured it. I'll try what you said. Thanks.
