Some people just boggle the mind. I was going clockwise on the 25 this afternoon from the m4 to the m11 when aronud J22 I came up behind some absolute prat in a perodua kelissa in lane 2 doing about 45mph.

I pulled from lane 1 into 2 and 3 to overtake him and when I looked at him he already had his middle finger raised at me, I didn't flash him or anything which makes me think that he knows what he is doing and is probably doing it to annoy people. Once I had moved back to lane 1 he just sat there for as long as I could see him.

I know this topics been coverd so often but it makes me so angry. What can be done about these dangerous assholes?

It's Laaaandaaan. The inside lanes for lorries, the middew lane's for cars thats not going farst innit, and the aaaaatside lane's for farst cars. Yew fick caaaarnt. Fack orf.

Back to reality - I reckon 3 lane roads are a complete waste of time anywhere south of Grantham as people are unable to use them and the extra capacity is not used at all. I can't see much more traffic getting through on a 3 laner than a two laner and offer the A1 as an example.

There's something about 45 mph that attracts Mongs. The Mong will drive through 30, 40, 50 and NSL at a meticulously maintained 45mph, speeding up only to block the Raving Lunatic attempting to destroy all nearby kittens and non ginger people by daring to overtake the Mong in a legal fashion. I blame the French, or perhaps the Daily Mail.

1. Buy V8 Landie.
2. Remove front bumper and replace with skyscraper spec I-beam.
3. Impale Perodua on I-beam. Recommended closing speed >40mph.
4. Pull onto hard shoulder and exit Landie.
5. Pull Perodua off bumper and discard, complete with driver onto the verge.
6. Re-mount Solihull steed.
7. Give Peroduc driver the bird.
8. Dial in 5 grand. Sidestep clutch and axle tramp off into the sunset.

Sounds like the nugget I met on Saturday, single carriageway NSL following a CRV that was just managing 50mph. Overtook on the long straight approaching a village, slowed to just over 30mph through the village, before I am halfway through CRV driver has caught me and is sat dangerously close to my bumper until I get to the NSL and once I get over 50 he settled back into his odd little world banghead

Almost as annoying are the people who do accelerate hard down the slip road to line up perfectly with you, so you pull into lane 2. And then they sit there, turning you into a small version of elephant racing(badger racing?). FFS Yes get up to speed, but go in front or behind I don't mind which, but fking well pick one!

What patrol cars?

If you've been on the motorway for over an hour or so you probably passed one. Seems most are unmarked now.

I encountered a few on a flying visit to Bristol at the weekend, a good few MLMs which on most occasions, i'd do an obvious 1-3-1 around them, hoping they'd figure it out (hope against hope), "buzzed the tower" in L1 on a clear mile stretch, bar an Astravan, and also came across 2 of the MLM royal family, who headed straight for the fast lane, and sat there.

Both cases were rather similar, one was a Saxo VTR with added refinements which required a 3-2-3 after a minute of sitting on his tail, and the other was a Clio, also with unusual additions, which in his defence, he did pull over so was watching his mirrors, but as soon as i passed, he returned the L3!!

Why is it these morons never get tagged by the police.

Perhaps bad driving in not a crime .. and as we all know speeding is actually a worse crime than :

Rape
Child molestation
MP's fiddling expenses
Being a sun or daily mail reader
etc..

Occasionally, they do. After following an OLM for 20 seconds, headlight flash + repeat 3 times before undertaking, I was unaware that the car which had caught me, and was now following was a Police car.

He ignored me, and pulled the OLM. He'd been following me long enough I think, to know I was the effect, not the cause. Thanks officer! smile

What gets me is the MLM who sits in lane 2, and when flashed to move over, moves over to lane 1 and then back into lane 2 once you've passed them. Why cant they stay in lane 1 like the rest of us? Are they too important or something? Total wkstains that dont deserve a licence. I gave up flashing MLM's - I just pass them in lane 1 which suddenly wakes them up and they proceed to race off into the distance, only to be undertaken again.
