Preparing and spraying fibreglass

I've just bought a vented headlamp cover for my MX-5. This is not a modified (steel) one, it's a new one - and it's made of fibreglass. Naked fibreglass.

Now I've never sprayed fibreglass before. Any advice to ensure it matches the rest of the car?

The only sure way to ensure any part painted edge-to-edge matches the adjoining panels is to blend the paint into them.
