Anybody know what the nearest paint match is to the silver used by Porsche on their interior parts ???

I’d like to repaint the bonnet release catches on my 996 with a paint I can get off the shelf, from Halfords in the UK, or somewhere like that.

Cheers,

Forget about buying it in halfords, you will have to have it custom matched with something that can be removed from the car and taken in to a paint specialsts. A search through yella pages may help you find someone who can mix up a custom aerosol.

However if you want the interior parts painting professionally we can do them (and have done most of Design 911's parts for years) in any colour you care to imagine, it is a speciality of Marc and Miles of 9m Panelcraft. Check out the chameleon purple 996 in 911&PW this month, I think this had a lot of the interior painted silver when we built it.

Humbrol No.11 (also available as a fantastic paint pen, Tamiya X-11) made an invisible repair to a scuff on my front trunk pull.
