Mobile alloy repairs

Anybody used these rather than taken them to a workshop? I've had good experiences with a workshop based company before but the lure of having them refurbished at work or home is rather tempting. I'm just wondering of the finish is as good if done in a van? Not looking to do anything major - just a refurb to remove minor corrosion and a bit of curb rash.
