ISATAP/network error? Safe mode boot only.
Discussion
Hi All
Got a strange one that I can't fathom a way forward.
It's a Vista Home Premium machine. It'll only boot into Safe mode & has no networking ability when it does.
Device manager shows both wireless & wired network hardware in an error state along with multiple ISATAP adaptors (19 of them!). All code 31. So in the absence of anything else, I'm assuming this is the culprit.
They won't delete. I've also tried disabling & then deleting but no joy. Rebooting in 'Safe mode - no networking' makes no difference and nor does a clean boot.
I know ISATAP is IPv6 related but as there's no network adaptors shown, I can't get into properties that way to disable/reinstall IPv6 either.
I've tried disabling IPv6 via a registry edit http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/09/09/disable-a... but that's made no difference.
Ideas please?
Thanks - Dunc.
