What a random question. Thats like me asking will the windows leak in a mk3 Escort.
Does the Supra have a tendancy to leak via the targa pannels? Has the Supra been maintained with rubber seal products? How old is the Supra?
You get the idea.

That's what I mean.Do they have a tendency to leak, generally.
Or, on the other hand, do they not.
If they're anything like the t-tops on the MR2, yes, they'll have a tendency to leak. Best check on http://www.mkivforums.com/vb/

The 'aero tops' as far as I know don't have a tendency to leak.
There will be, no doubt, a few cases of poorly maintained/damaged examples that do.

You are confusing me with your contradictory opinions.
Marf I had a look on that site but couldn't find anything when searching. Thanks anyway.
I suppose I could pour a bucket of water over one, see what happens.
The seller may not be cooperative.
Might have to take my own bucket of water, and do it without asking.
My view comes from being on the MkIVSupra.net forum for 10 years....its not often that leaking roofs are a topic other than poorly maintaned or damaged.
So this basically means most aero tops don't leak but some do....all depends on condition.
Have a good inspection of the seal for damage/corrosion....also have a good check for to see if everything is aligned and fits well.
Other than that, the bucket of water test is always an option as you mention.
