Six New Ferraris Before 2013

New model blitz will include Enzo replacement and 458 Scuderia

Six new Ferraris will hit showrooms over the next three years, parent company Fiat has today revealed.

Included as part of Fiat's business strategy up to 2014, the new-model offensive from Ferrari will begin in 2011 with a soft-top Ferrari 458 Spider - and a new Enzo-style hypercar and hardcore 458 are also in the works.

After the 458 Spider, but still in 2011, will come a replacement for the 612 Scaglietti. That car, codenamed F151, will stick with V12 power, but is likely to be the first road car to use the hybrid technology that Ferrari revealed at the Geneva motor show in March.

In 2012 there will be a new halo car for Ferrari - a successor for the Enzo, as well as a successor to the 599 GTB Fiorano.

The final round for Ferrari will be in 2013, with a major mid-life facelift for the California folding hard-top and, possibly saving the best for last, a Scuderia version of the 458 Italia. Considering how epic the 430 Scuderia was, and the 360 Challenge Stradale before it, that's a pretty mouthwatering prospect.

As long as Ferrari don't produce SUV rival for the Cayenne I'm happy.

Lambo are being a bit quiet with all these supercar upgrades and changes.

New McLaren models
New Ferrari models
New Zonda model is being tested too

I know a Murcielago replacement is due out soon, yet not really a sniff about it. Maybe Lambo might spring a surprise or two when McLaren and Ferrari are arguing over customers...

I hope. wink

Isn't that 3 genuinely new cars, two variants of the 458, and a facelift for the California (which IMHO it desperately needs!)?!?

Once again, PR and Marketing at work calling a spade an "optimally-designed manual earth relocation device"?!?

I'm chummy with a couple of the guys from Marenello Concessionaires (the UK Ferrari/Maserati showroom) and I've heard a lot of chat about the F151 being an SUV. Maserati are also reported to be making their own SUV but the Ferrari model isn't going to share any of the underpinnings (apparently).

I'm personally a little worried that someone with such a distinctive and passionate motorsport heritage is going to make a hideous 4x4.

I hope Ferrari takes the opportunity to come up with some much better design than the current boring stuff.

There is some serious room for improvement, imo.

True, bit odd tough that they would already announce a facelift of the California by 2013, would put me off buying one if I was in the market right away...

But I ain't so I hope what they are doing.

Oh, and the 458 is the second car to join the very select "looks perfect in yellow" club imho (together with the Gallardo)

Secondly, I hope my mention of "hideous 4x4" in my first ever PH post hasn't alienated me...

I don't like the sound of that. I'd rather Maserati did a Quattroporte Estate than a galumphing great off-roader that no-one will actually use off-road. I don't really see 4x4s as an Italian 'thing'. The only ones that the Fiat group make are for the military market and the Lamborghini LM002 was a colossal failure that sticks out of the company's history books like a sore thumb.
