Applying for two jobs at the same time, same place

Two jobs have gone up on the board at work, both working in the same department (my current one, IT) but different teams.

Currently filling out the application form(s) doing the personal statements. For this, would you write two completely different statements? Obviously parts will be re-written as I describe my skills relevant to the particular roles, but the bits where I talk about myself and my interests, for example, are going to be the same regardless of the post.

Or is it worth just totally re-wording them so it doesn't make me look like a lazy copy&paster?

Just FYI, it'll be the same people on the interview panel for both jobs I believe....

You should treat this like any other job application. Emphasise your strengths relative to the job in hand.
