Guys we are in Edinburgh this weekend.

Im looking for a good Tapas bar, and a club, looking at Electric Circus for the Indie Night..

We are Rafting and Canyoning during the day, and wont be hitting town till 8ish

Also is there a Restraunt/latebar/club all in one? might be handy? being broken from the day!

We are going to the Steak and Mussel Friday Night... Just need to get Sat sorted.

There will be 10 of us (all "sensible" 30 somethings....)

(Ive been reccomended to look at Espionage and Opal Bar.)

Any reccomentdations greatly appreciated

All the best

Dave

Couple of La Tascas dotted about the town centre that would keep you in walking distance of pubs/clubs or even Mariachi's on Victoria Street (almost next door to Espionage) may cover your eating desires.

Clubs in Edinburgh are thin on the ground these days but are the only places that are licensed beyond 1am. All the pubs are 1am, clubs 3am (unless its the festival, then its 5am).

Lava & Ignite (formerly and still known as Cavendish) at Tollcross, City Nightclub on Market Street and Mood nightclub kind of in the Omni Centre next to the playhouse are all your typical younger team, rowdy nightclubs.
George Street area has more upmarket bars and clubs like Why Not & Opal Lounge.
Or there is the Grassmarket, which is stag, hen and student central, but you'll be paying less for your drinks there.

Fluffnik found a great Tapas conveniently near him! Can vouch for the quality and cheapness of the place. El Bar I think its called. We went earlier this month, loads of food, think there was meant to be five courses (couldn't manage the last savoury course) and plenty of booze worked out about £20 a head for 7 of us.

Cafe Andaluz on george st is the best place in town for tapas (a little pricey mind)

Few decent bars / clubs which are open till late on George St too...

Failing that stick with the previous suggestions,

Woza.

I wouldn't class any of them as bars but thats splitting hairs, the old Venue nightclub, a live music venue and another live music venue/events venue - The Banshee are even hosting wedding ceremonies and receptions these days.

Fair enough I guess - they probably have a club licence. But the way they are now, I would consider them bars rather than clubs, even Binkies. Probably cos I'm old and can hear myself think in all of them biggrin

Dave,

It's great.

Raul will look after you.

Make sure you have all the deserts though.

The Cinnamon bread pudding is the highlight though. lick
