Check the guys feedback but I wouldn't send it personally. What game is it? Some 4 year olds game or a restricted 18 one?

alien v predator.. Pretty crap game really..

I am pretty trust worthy, and not bothered about the extra money, but I do think you should bid to buy...

Or is it a scam?

I wouldn't expect an email like that from a 'Grandfather'. Is he waiting for his pension?

If they have good feedback you never know it might be genuine.

How much is it?

For a few pounds, I'd test my cynicism and send it. You'll either be pleasantly surprised, or get exactly what you expect.

I had a similar one that tugged at my heartstrings around Christmas time.

Email through the website, it's a Christmas present but don't get paid until the 23rd December, is there anything we can do, etc.

Sounded really genuine. Couple of emails back and forth explaining to pay on the 23rd is leaving it very late, but we could just about get something there as long as the order was placed in the morning, call us to check stock, etc.

This is for a £120 item, but we sell a lot of them, so no big deal.

I come within a whisker of saying we'd send it on the 21st and wait for payment on the 23rd, but spoke to Mrs Maser who brought me to my senses.

Turns out, I looked through email history, and found the same person had emailed with a very similar query on the 2nd December and 12th December asking similar questions, getting paid next week, etc. could we still dispatch in time for Christmas....

I've no idea if they ever ordered, but even if it was genuine, three dates came and went as to when the 'could' have ordered and paid, and all opportunities were missed.

Probably not a 'scam' as such, but really not worth the grief in having to chase them for payment.

I wouldn't worry about it. Its their fault not yours. Out of interest could you tell us where abouts in the country they were from?

Feedback screams scam - check the feedback left for others.

Every +ve she's received as a buyer is an automated response to her +ve for the sellers. I'll bet she hasn't paid for anything and the account was set up to scam someone.
