MOT Station near Bromley (Kent)?
Discussion
Hi guys,
Hope you are all ok.
Its that time of the year where my Noble M400 needs an MOT, however the service is not due till July so i am looking for a place nearby that will look after the car whilst doing the MOT (i.e. knowing what they are doing).
Does anybody have any recommendations?
Dan

i just want someone who knows what they are doing (im worried that local garages will not know what to do with a Noble).
Sidcup is close, do you have a recommendation?
What do you do have to know with a Noble that's different to any other car? It's a car the same as all the rest we test and has to go through the same procedures, if you have any concerns you can tell the tester before hand. Sidcup is close, do you have a recommendation?

My local garage in Weald (Sevenoaks) does MOTs. He loved my 2.5 so bought himself a 3R. Mine's in on Saturday for its MOT. Though all MOT stations should be exactly the same.
Send me an email if you want to get in touch with him.
Does it go in the rollers OK without bumping the sump or bottom of the car?Send me an email if you want to get in touch with him.

Might be able to sort something out if you could book it in on a Saturday morning. I'd cook you a breakfast or something at my house. I'm just up the road from the garage.

Well I'm wrong. Turns out my car only just fits on the rollers with the splitter removed. Could be an issue in other MOT centres too.
AND it failed MOT for bottom front ball joints and a leaky rear shock.
I've replaced front top ball joints with Rover 100s, but whats the score with the bottoms?I'm thinking of looking for an upgrade including the aluminium block. Any suggestions?

Hi mate,
Sorry i didn't get back to you until now (thanks for the offer by the way).
I decided that i will take the car to the TVR Centre @ Barnet, as they know the car and will do me a MOT while i wait (just need to pick a nice day in the next few weeks and drive it down there - am looking forward to that!).
Always nice to see the various TVR's & Nobles there too.
I hope you sort your ball joint problem (i'd love to help, but i have no idea what to suggest!).

Yeah for my car, and a few others, we put plates over the rollers so they can go on the ramp then test brakes using a decelerometer.AND it failed MOT for bottom front ball joints and a leaky rear shock.
