I just wanted to thank people for emailing me their good
wishes and for Gary's comments on here.

I spent the afternoon under going tests at a
specialist eye unit and it appears, for what ever
reason, I have lost all but peripheral vision in one eye

Probable cause, nerve damage following the dentist's work.

I've now been referred on to the main surgeon
to decide what needs to be done.

Hopefully it is something that might correct itself,
if not, well, best not think about that.

So, very little PC time for me and no Cerbera time
at the moment and I bet you can guess what that
is doing to me.

Back soon I hope and thanks again.

Best wishes regarding the eye, Graham. I had some similar trouble a few years back when my nerves got damaged beneath the eye, sinuses ruptured, etc. My eyesight was really messed up for a month or so, but got back to pretty much 100% after that (apart from monitor flicker being much more of a problem than it ever was). Some might say it affects my driving, but it really was always that bad!
