Twin Turbo kit for rover V8

The only kits out there tend to be janspeed items using single or twin rotomasters for low boost good torque spread. Not bad but the manifolds have very small ports based on the early rv8. Smaller then later or ported heads.
You could easily do your own kit using a pressurised mechanical holley 600 d/p, MD EMS 5 management, pierburg 12 psi pump and a rising rate fuel regulator. A pair of t3's or mitsu's would suffice.
I've done it myself and the results are mental. Huge torque from under 2000 rpm on a 4.5 & 5.0 running appx 9.1 C/r with stock intewrnals. No lag just shear, never ending grunt. I did some calculations which predicted over 550 lbs/ft from 2000rpm upwards. I think that's 100lbs/ft more then a testorrossa makes at 4500 rpm. Don't quote me on that but I think I'm in the ballpark and just look what a testorossa costs!
You will smile hugely if you do this yourself!

Steve - that twin turo Griff 500 was done by Courtney.. staged turbo's.
I talked with the owner a few times and it was not the most reliable car duo to the heat generated .. kept eating alternators..
Turbo's are great but can have heat problems due to the space and pipe route that has to be used.
A better way really is the super charge route - centrifugal type .. but you will quickly find as
Steve Heath has with his racer that the torque and power makes nearly everything a consumable (diff, box, suspension and most of all those driveshafts).
The Wedge rear suspension is a very weak link and not the best of designs.
My own personal opinion is that it's good for 350bhp but not more.

To get the Wedge suspension to handle even 350 bhp will require a lot of sacrifices as the normal springing etc is too soft. This causes the components to move and die because the angles involved increase the stress. Particularly on the drive shafts and wheel bearings and hub bearings, the suspension mounts etc. If the suspension is stiffened, then the the movement is controlled and the components cope better but the downside is that you need a cup holder for the cup to hold your fillings so that your dentist can put them back.
The chassis is also quite flexible and bends under power which is one of the reasons a full roll cage went it to strengthen and stiffen the chassis. One of the reasons why a chassis cracks are becoming quite common on uprated cars. FRont turrets and suspension mounts are weak. Just modified mine as I had bent the turret up about 3/4 inch. Also changed the shock angle to get better control of the geometry and drop linked the ARB. Sound little things but the suspesnion mounts took several weeks to get modeled so that I knew they would be OK and then 2 man days to fabriacte and fit.

The twin turbo griff would have been loads neater & better with 2 short turbo exit pipes going straight into a custom plenum with two built in charge coolers. Then the air intercooler and associated plumbing could be ditched. It could have used some water injection if needed. Or it could have had a single turbo mounted at the front of the 'V'. IMHO

Don't look like it would fit a TVR anyway !
Grind a bit of Fibre glass away and Bob's your uncle andthing can be made to fit, I'm sure someone here could make it work
