Outlook Express 6- blank messages?
Discussion
Something quite weird happened tonight. All my emails seem to loose there messages. Header stays along with Attachment.
I've found that I can view the content in Source, so the content hasn't gone, just not displayed. Have the same problem with new messages sent/recvd after this started happening.
Did a good search on net and cleared temp and temp Int files as as suggested by Micros*it.
Also checked and unchecked the Encoding from Auto-Select as also suggested elsewhere but to no avail, so I'm now at a loss?
Also turned off Norton AV as well and rebooted plenty of times.
so, any advice?
Can I uninstall and reinstall Outlook Express, will I loose my Inbox.dbx folders etc.
Anyone recommend a better alternative, needs to be able to import dbx though.
Any advice greatly recieved as I'm tearing my hair out

Save your files first if you want to un/re install.
The files you will need to save will be in this folder (if you have XP, 98 will be something similar, do a search for .dbx files) - save all of them.
C:Documents and SettingsYOUR USER NAMELocal SettingsApplication DataIdentitiesYOUR IDENTITY LOTS OF NUMBERS AND BRACKETSMicrosoftOutlook Express
Copy and paste the files somewhere safe. Un/re install. Set up your mail. Go find that directory again and copy your files back in.
Hopefully that will 'reset' OE

Sorted
Read up about BTYahoo upgrade, tried to download the software, but to no avail. Spoke to there CS who suggested I tried downloading some other program. Kept giving me errors because...
...yesterday, to free up space on C, I created new locations from my computer for Page.sys but assumed windows would make the Temp directorie on my other drives.
...it didn't, so now I've created the correct directory, its all sorted!
phew!!!!
