7D Video sample

Since there's been a lot of discussion on the video capabilities of the Canon 7D here lately, I thought I'd post up a small test video I made yesterday as there aren't many true "handheld" samples around. You can see the obvious quality potential, but as others have said - you pretty much need to focus manually unless you can be sure the subject won't move....and a tripod is a must. It isn't a handycam replacement, but if you get it right it will be superb.

I have more clips I'll post up later, that one was with a 70-200 f/4L at 200mm - no IS on this lens, so with better lenses you'd do much better.
If motorsport is your bag I'd be going for the 7d due to the crop being an advantage - better quicker autofocus and higher fps. I've got a few pics from a drag race if you want to see them, obvously similar problems to other motorsport.

Most taken in burst mode then the best one selected.....
