Hi,

Looking to buy a pen as a gift, preferably not a fountain type, for around £35 as a gift for a female friend.

Any recommendations?

Cheers,

How tedious is this forum becoming?

It's boring how people try to better each other at being funny.

I'm sure it must be nice to be such a 'big personality' on a forum, no doubt you're quite dull in real life.

I use one of those day to day and it's a lovely pen. There's a rollerball version too.

Do you honestly think that people sit back and physically laugh at the comments made on this thread?

Easily pleased, aren't you.

Just go to John Lewis, go to the pen department, and ask what they've got for £35 then!

FFS.

I am known for buying stupid gifts. 350 'bic' biros should do the job.

or... 500,000 tiny polystyrene balls delivered to her house.

(st, i didnt 'out joke' someone).

ETA:

1) buy her a Waterman for £30
2) spend £5 on fun.

Cheers,
I'd suggest going for a Waterman ballpoint pen ( http://www.waterman.com/en/style/pens/inks ) or a Parker Pen ( http://www.parkerpen.com/en/ ) both are very stylish and elegant considering your price range. Mont Blanc is okay however it's rare and getting refills can be a pain in the neck, especially if you don't have a WHSmith or John Lewis near you.
