Prefer if you just took pictures of your car, and not your 'beast'. Kids read these forums too!

Well... How about a duct-tape version of the Elise?

This is what you get when a motorbike decides to try the Elise head-on and crashes into the corner, landing on top of the nose.

The duct-tape here is keeping the clam together.. Every bit of tape is covering a tear/crack in the clam.

Remember: Always keep a roll of duct-tape in the car

Bye, Arno.

P.S. Yes it's fixed again.. New clam, radiator, crashbox and all assorted bits..

Ok you don't see much of the Type23 on any of the forums, I think it's a classic look (It's better in the fibre-glass) for the liz

Hope the pics work

Guess they didn't

Fixed it

That's the first type 23 I've seen other than the original press photos. Makes me think of those old white and green mints (Pacers?) I used to love.

Cheers Bonce. Was talking about those mints in the pub the other night and couldn't remember the name!

Lotus Sport Suspension (as it is adjustable)

But mine is TOO low, to the point that the wheels rub the arches. not worth the benefit of better cornering

Im having it raised, but hopefully it will retain its mean stance

Ill take a couple of clearer snaps over the weekend, just to show exactly what i mean

Some good "cheap" mods to improve the look of the elise in my opinion include:

1) clear side repeaters
2) Clear rear lights
3) S160 wheels
4) S160 spoiler

The last two are not "cheap" but really are effective

Too right - nice mods and El Beast is looking good drag.

A funny thing occurred to me seeing this - Elises and Mini's are very similar in that owners can do a fair bit for not much outlay to make the car look cosmetically much sharper, give it a few more gee-gee's and make it more personal...

- Clear lights
- Lower suspension
- Aftermarket exhaust/induction
- Ally's

I know that lots of people do this with lots of other cars, but most end up looking a right chav disaster. I just think these cars have a load more personality than a lot of other boxes around these days for similar money.

Sorry if all that seems dead obvious, but having moved from the Mini scene (well still involved thru the missus) to the Lotus scene, I'm really pleased that I've stuck with a classic British sporting marque and all that goes with it.

Er, I'll get me coat....
