Hi i was travelling past a gatso camera situated on the left hand side and i was heading towards some traffic lights when in the distance i saw it flash! now i had a arctic lorry behind me and he had quite a few cars behind him, i was only travelling at around 15mph when the flash went off as i had some cars ahead of me only crawling along.

what would happen if a speeding ticket came through the post, i hope the camera could see that we were all only crawling etc, will try post a google earth pic.

advice please

If you paste this into google earth it will show the gatso along that road

if it's a Gatso, nothing.
none are approved for flashing forwards, they usually are set to ignore fast things coming towards them to save from blinding drivers, and they won't take it any further.

Yeah but at 15mph right?

I wouldn't worry. It was probably 'forward flashing' somebody going in the opposite direction.

you need to word your question better, you said "In the distance" is this behind you or infront? In front then it was facing forward so definately not a catch, knowhere near. Behind and then i am afraid 15mph is a total ban as that speed is way to reckless !!

Yes, they quite often go off under incorrect circumstances. If it was a long way behind you, and there were multiple cars, and a lorry also between you and the camera, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. The vehicle being targeted by the camera is usually above the markings on the road for both flashes.

If you were also just doing 15mph, then you REALLY have nothing to worry about.

Looking at some of your older posts, it seems you are a little paranoid about speed cameras?!
