Hoping that someone can point us in the right direction.

Friends TD5 Landy starts when cold, runs fine for 2-3 minutes then dies. Then won't start and just cranks over and over as if no fuel is getting through. Fuel pump keeps running for a minute or so (can hear it) once it's stopped.

He tells me they've changed the fuel pump, fuel filter and a sensor in the airbox(?) but still no joy - same thing keeps happening. Fuel is arriving at the engine and is clean.

Anyone experienced this before. Lots of head scratching going on over here.

I suspect it's not something simple like a filter.

And if it's not fuel then it must be electrical. I think you need to get it to a diagnostics machine and see if it's throwing any codes.

Could it be something to do with the loom running into the cylinder head? i have read that it is a common fault which causes running probs.

Doubt its oil in the Loom as that only causes a missfire. Get it plugged in that will bring up some clues

No ignition system as such, on a diesel. Mentioning just in case it's taken to a main dealer - who might try to diagnose spark plug issues!
