First of Hello to the TVR guys, been in the Yank Tank camp till I saw the light 
I have just taken delivery of my first Griff, which is great and she goes in for MOT Tuesday, all seems well apart form the fact the previous owner took the seats out of the car. They had been put back but the bolts are sticking out under the chassis nearly 1 1/2 - 2 inches and not sure why? I have not been able to get a Steve Heath TVR bible yet so got nothing to go on to know how to rectify, can anyone give me any pointers?
Also the battery has been out and not bolted back in, are thses bolts only about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long? as they are the only ones I have with her.
Oh forgot one that would actually fail it's test for, handbrake can't get it on, know you need muscles for the TVR but don't think it's me.

My seat bolts stick out beyond the nuts under the car. In total I guess they are about an inch under the bottom of the floor.
If it bothers you that much, take the nuts off, lift the seat out and cut the bolts to the length you want.
The bolts you have are probably for the battery box.
If you are lucky you will find a line drawn on the floor in front of the battery box. This will be where a previous owner has had the battery box out and the line is to make sure the box is in the right place for the bolts.
I've found if you put the box where you think it should be, then get underneath with a philips screwdriver you can feel the nuts and pull the box into the correct place
