I'm hoping someone on here can give me some guidance on how to get into the lower drawers on our filing cabinet at work.

I know that you can only open one draw at a time on filing cabinets, but even when all closed and the key is definately unlocked, we just can't get into the bottom two drawers.

Any ideas???

Crow bar, always works! Had to do it a few times when needing petty cash to pay for strippers and gambling debts.....

With the one or both of the top drawers open, you may be able to locate a virtical bar that runs down from the lock. Try sliding that up or down and see if that allows you to open the bottom one.

Go in sideways, with your shoulder first. Curl your legs up to your chest, and bring your head down to meet your knees. Use your free arm to push your knees down, and tuck your hand in front of your face. You'll need someone else to push the drawer closed.

Base of drawer is bowed and catching.

I know what the problem is.

There's already someone in it.

LOL biggrin

Turns out with the top drawer fully open and emptied, I could reach in fiddle with the mechanism at the back which only allows one draw to be open at a time.

If ever I need to know how to get into a safe, I'll make sure to ask you lot, wink

Step 1: Make sure there isn't already somebody else in there.
