As above thought it would be good to idea for others to share their thoughts on previous cars they have owned.
I will get the ball rolling with my Golf Rallye. Bought this from a 70 year old Volkswagen enthusiast who sourced it from a VW museum in Germany where it had been on show for five years prior to his ownership. The Car was an ’89 plate and the spec as standard was, supercharged 1.8 liter 8 valve producing around 180bhp with 4wd. I owned the car for four trouble free years before I got the M coupe itch I had to scratch. An absolutely fantastic car to own and to use a comment I'm sure will be quite common on this thread ''Wish I had kept a hold of it''.

To apologies for the spelling mistakes in the heading!!! Was a late one last night

My 999cc (970 + 40) Cooper S, lightened, balanced, ported, straight cut box etc.
Not the most reliable road car with essential weekly checks on timing and carbs, but what a hoot to drive. Nothing below 3k RPM, on cam at 5k all the way up to 10k

Yup just exiting the Esses. This was before its rebuild into 999cc mode, when I bought it it was a 1071cc S, which was no good for any of the classes. Mind you I still struggled in 999cc mode againt Harry Simpson etc in their Imps, we reckoned on losing almost 2 secs off the line to them! Happy days!

EVO VIII MR FQ300 with a mod or three. Great weapon. Effortlessly easy to dive quickly anywhere. Owned it for two years but hankered for rwd again so sold it and bought my current Z4 Coupe.

S2000 GT. Loved this car. Three years of great fun with this car. Sold it and bought the EVO above. It gave me the rwd itch.

my old audi 2.8 coupe quattro
Not the fastest, not the best handling, not most economic or best built but stll the one i wish i never sold. Loved it to bits. Had it 3 years it did everything well and was a pleasure to own and drive

love the old cooper, that also makes be feel like a child!
And the gold (rally i am guessing) looks lovely. I see an oak green one very regularly and its a bit special as well, well at least in my mind.

I can imagine how quick the EVO was. Can remember being scared sh**less in the passenger seat of a 22b Impreza. The speed and control carried through the corners was phenomenal. Will always remember the line quoted by the driver after the event '' It's a great car, they make bad drivers look good and good drivers look even better''I bought this ten years ago past March and kept it for nearly five years. Yes they became the staple diet of the baseball cap wearer but my god it could handle with a few tweeks on the suspension components. Was sad to see her go but she was done at 80k plus including track days.

and the one I should never have sold...
Plus side of 300brake, everything was insane about this, spoiler size, the 6pots, the power (stage 3) the suspension (Graham Goode stuff), the intake/spool/dump/exhaust noise, insane & I loved it.

Peugeot 205 Mi16.

Totally loved that car, everything about the way it drove was just manic. Had a 1.6 box with Mi final drive so topped out at 120, stripped interior, bucket seats and harnesses.
Moved and performed way better than 160 odd bhp ever should have.
I will have another one one day.

The sheer comedy factor of this "little" toy was it's only good point. Heavy to run and a biatch to put round a corner. Never had trouble in the snow however.

Not a car but the one toy I miss very much. Had great fun on this toy..... Even had a laugh when it made me slide in front of a bus.

Perhaps loved it a little too much.

Only other car I enjoyed was my old Golf GTI, only replaced the tyres in the years I had him, I also ended up in court with him. Aaaahhh good times!

That looks stunning. The main reasons I got into rwd cars was the 2 door sierra cosworth, it was in one of these I first experienced rwd in a performance car.Plus side of 300brake, everything was insane about this, spoiler size, the 6pots, the power (stage 3) the suspension (Graham Goode stuff), the intake/spool/dump/exhaust noise, insane & I loved it.
