What to buy

First time poster.
Looking for a little guideance.
I want to buy a quality estate,have up to 10k.
Am swithering with BMW 530d....or is there a better buy.

I would like reliability first and foremost,comfort,auto,space,power.
I live in Spain and travel about 500mls motorway every two weeks.
Also I would like a bit of class,as never in my 40 years of driving owned a decent motor.

Will look into the Merc,the wife is rather keen on the BMW,so it will take a bit of earbashing,myself not too bothered.
