Focus ST clicking noise

I have a clicking noise coming from under neath steering cowel, it sounds like a realy clicking on an and off - noticed a really light misfire when it happens - any ideas anyone ?

Traction Control / Stability Control?? Are you "giving it some" when this happens? There's a lot written about these overactive systems on the STOC forums.

Could be the inlet manifold solenoid. New one required if that is the case.

No it does it all the time, not noticable when accelerating mainly at cruising speeds

Does it only do it when the air-conditioning is switched on?

I have noticed a clicking on our ST, it sounds like a relay and only does it when the air-con is switched on.
