Dalby - World Cup

I hope you did go! Just got home, long day, absolutely shattered. Cracking atmosphere, just like being up at Ft Bill. Plenty of noise and action, thrilling racing, and the mens final was split by a half a wheel length after two hours! Even got a bit of sunburn! I'll upload some photos this week when I get a chance.
my lass borrowed my van and was up there for the weekend - one of only 5 girls to complete the 'dare' amateur ride!
said that the pro's were pretty impressive, hopefully it was their (bike)riding she was talking about...
She also chatted to 'some bloke called steve with gap teeth who was signing autographs, didn't know who he was but he seemed nice....'
bless.

I spotted her first!
Been doing some reading and talking to a few people since the even - I'm really, really pleased as its gone down an absolute storm - many peoples first experience of Mountain biking.
I was on a flight to Zurich Monday morning and chatted with a whole bunch of the riders, they loved the event, the course was a proper, WC worthy , fast, technical course, so great feedback.
Job very well done by everyone involved it seemed.
I certainly found it very special, even my missus who I dragged along turned round and actually enjoyed it and all of a sudden 'got' it. Can only be a good thing for the future of the sport.
Nice 10min clip here courtest of the beeb - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/cycli...

Agreed, great event. Makes me want to go to Belgium for the next round.
Go to Fort William. Its AMAZING. Beautiful, thrilling, enthralling, hilarious. Some of my best holidays ever have been up at Fort William for the WC/World Champs. I processed a few of my photos - they are here -
