Hi guys, does anyone know if it is possible to make a Lister Le Mans bodykit replica on a standard XJS. If yes will it be done with glassfibre or steel panels? Has anyone attempted to do such a thing? If not how hard is it to get some sort of period bodykit like the Jaguarsport TWR one?

They are built on a steel body in steel, the lower skirts and bumpers are glassfibre. There is no actual kit for a Le Mans Lister aa it was all made in house.

I can supply MK1 body kits as per this one

Nice. I was actually looking for the MK1 bodykit as the other one is great but i think that i would be really hard to recreate. Is the one you have used or is it a new repro. Do you reckon it would be hard to fit?

They are easy to fit, I have been building these for over 25 years and as long as your bumpers are in good condition they will take about a day to fit !

The bodykit is like glued on the stock bumpers? I thought that they just bolted onto the stock bumper overriders. Is the bodykit you supply a reproduction?

I know where there is a monaco kit going if you fancy something a bit more drastic

No that's way to futuristic for me. What i'm looking for is to buy a nice sound car with a bit of rust. Tackle all the bodywork and then turn it into a Lister LeMans replica.
