This junction box for the phone lines has been like this for months

Someone originally drove into it, how, i dont know!

Anyway, like i said it has been like it for months, all the phone lines, data cables exposed etc. Someone has in the past come along and zip tied the cover back on but the local chavs have kicked it off again. In recent weeks i've been having problems with the internet, fine signal but hanging and dropping for no reason at all, talking to neighbours they have had similar with phone calls etc. I'm guessing that they are related to the damage to the box.

I want to contact whoever is responsible for the box, i was assuming it was BT but with so many different providers i'm not sure if it is.

Any ideas?

BT. They still own the infrastructure.

I think it's BT who are responsible for the physical lines etc.

Druids Walk yeah, suprised you can read the sign after the council painted it black for 3 weeks before coming back and doing the raised bits in white. Looks like a 5 year old has done it.

Pagans against technology (PAT). Google them. There's been a growing trend around our way. Very annoying...

bks. There's an above ground BT cabinet outside my parents house. The nearest town to them with cable is about 8 miles away.

Amen. The vast majority of BT boxes are above ground............otherwise they'd need man-sized holes, or manholes as they're known, to access them.

It cant be cable as none of the estate ever had cable, it was all SKY. We have no phone lines around here so they must all be under ground leading to here.

It says CATV on the cover in the foreground. The box and its contents look very much like the Vigin Media ones in my area.
You can report damaged cabinets on their website. I've done this myself; sometimes they respond, sometimes they don't.
