New Carpet

Spent yesterday taking out the old, faded carpet from the S1 and it came out really well with each section almost in tact so I should have a reasonable template.

Can anyone recommend where to get replacement carpet from. I need it on a roll and have worked out I would need a 2m x 6m roll.

The guy I spoke to says he bought a job lot from the manufacturer who supply BMW for the new mini.
When I took it to my trimmer he stated that it was very good quality but it is only available in black.

I got four 4 units to re carpet the lot which my trimmer assures me will be plenty, £67 inc postage cant be bad.
He hasn't completed the job yet though

If you go to any kit car shows there are often sellers there selling genuine manufacturers carpet for little cash. They do seem to have some bloody big 'offcuts'

Called these earlier in the week after your tip, very helpful and prices seem good. They are sending me a sample so I will let you know what the quality is like when I get it next week

I like the look of the LAKEWELL ones as they are fully stitched and ready to glue....but....
at 380euro's they are expensive at the current exchange rate.
My local trimmer can fit and cut to size a new set of carpets finnished for £400
