My clock's died frown I know what's wrong with it, I just can't find a UK supplier of the part for love nor money.

So I was hoping that one of you may have a spare (the round Moto-Meter 'Quart-Zeit' version) for a sensible fee - in working order of course wink

ETA: VWP do a similar one on this page if I get stuck biggrin

Mine died years ago, so I replaced it with an oil temp & pressure gauge. I'll have a rummage to see if I've still got it somewhere.

I had the same issue with mine!

I ended up finding a moto-meter one at a auto jumble which was 12-24 volt so probably from a truck and it works no problem!

This any good to you?

You're welcome to it - although it may be suffering the same fault as your own. The bezel needs a paint as well.

I have a spare clock at home off my old Cerbera, white dial colour.

Let me know if you fancy it.

Ian it might be worth contacting VDO Instruments in Brum somewhere as they do an analogue clock which I believe is same diameter (but prepared to be kicked in the butt if I`m wrong).

What part is broken - some of us hoard electronics bits - if you don't ask....

Suspect it's blown the IC, which was specifically designed as a car clock biggrin

Something to do with believing what my bench power supply voltmeter said whilst I was fault-finding on the alarm system; the meter has a x2 range switch and it was in the wrong position paperbag so what I thought was 12v was actually 24v banghead
The alarm survived, the clock (being the only thing permanently connected to the battery terminals, where I'd connected the PSU) didn't...

As the circuitry lacks reverse-polarity protection rolleyesbanghead, I bet some of the dead ones are down to the car battery having been wired backwards.

Gandalf, AJ... thanks for the info and offer, can get a near-identical one from Vehicle Wiring Products, black would match the rest of the instruments.

7: PM sent!
