Pictures and story in Autocar http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/... about the new Murray T25.

Keep hearing about the revolutionary manufactering process but given this is the man who brought us the McLaren F1, the SLR Maclaren and the wonderful but often overlooked LCC Rocket, I'm expecting great things.

Also, do we have any idea of a price for this thing yet

To be honest, it's becoming difficult to maintain enthusiasm, as progress is so slow. Until we see hard money down (ie a factory being built, and a name on the front of the car), I won't hold my breath.

Target price was significantly less than a Smart.

Would love to get a proper look at one of these, the whole process from design to manufacture is so different and efficient from the norm. It makes it a fascinating and potentially revolutionary project.

Absolutely. As a one-time auto engineer, I find the engineering absolutely fascinating, and see potential for it to fundamentally change motoring (urban at least).
I just want to see one in the flesh (and bribe the driver to crawl all over it).

Not sure he had too much to do with the SLR McLaren.

The one thing we can be sure of though is it looks crap.

I'm sure the styling will be refined at a later stage, I think its the last thing Murray concerns himself with.

And whilst Murray was the vision, it was Peter Stevens who 'designed' the fantastic look of the McLaren F1.

So when the front clamshell folds forward for you to get out, what's stopping the rain lashing in and the wind blowing all of your paperwork everywhere?

I don't think I could buy a car from a guy who dresses in such hideous manblouses.

Optional Necessary extras - Golfing Brolly. Bag of Murraymints

the bag of 'Murray Mints' for when you can't shake off that stinking cold cos you haven't been able to dry out for the last few weeks and sitting on that damp wet seat has given you a pain in the butt.

NOSALE.

If you didn't know it was Murray in the seat, you'd be laughing your socks off. Or taking them off cos they're soaking wet.
