Brake light switch... what's if from?

Any one know what the brake light switch is from at all?.. having kicked my switch in bit's going over a large bump I now need a new one and will have a look at the local (cheap) motor factors before going to the usuals....
Must say from E-bay, the Mini one looks like it will fit.. just the lugs come out the side on the oroginal (or at least the existing one fitted to my car)

IIRC it's a simple micro-switch, check out Maplins or RS Components website

The one on the brake pedal?

Think you're not far off with the mini one. It might be Ford Escort. Basically take your bits to the local MF and they'll match it. As long as it fits and 'switches' is all that matters, no?

No it's not... it's a big thing like this.. but with the lug's coming out the side.. .

Yes.. just wanted to ring up first... As long as you get the length of thread and thread dia, then anything will work I agree... you can also bend the mounting brackett a tad if it's not quite the same...
Will remove what's left tonight and take it round... Cheers...

Yes, that's it. Off a Mini or Escort. It's a simple switch.
