Finally got round to taking the old knacker to bits. No space, no ramps, just an angle grinder, a saw, brute force and a lot of ignorance!

Is the odd thing the engine? It's not a V6 or V8, nor is it a 2.0L Pinto....and is that a turbo hiding on the left in the depths of the engine bay?
