Hi,

Not sure if anyone can help. Thought I'd ask here as you guys are probably more likely to know about this.

Essentially I've got a car (not a kit) and I'd quite like to see about having the interior spruced up. Was thinking along the lines of having the dash and door cards leathered.

Anyone know where I might be able to get this done and what sort of money I might be looking at?

Cheers.

Can't comment on cost or quality but a quick look at Yell revealed 6 "Car & Vehicle Upholsterers" in Milton Keynes.

If its for the Smart Roadster, have a look at Smarts R Us / Road Track Race / Evil Twin - http://www.smartsrus.com/srus/194_EvilTwinCustomLe... . Smart car forums will probably be able to give more leads and advice on this.

If it isn't for the Smart, ignore what I just said hehe .

If you can say what vehicle it is I can say what price it would be!

Cheers.

It's a 99MY Chavy Camaro z28.

I quite like the interior as is, but I've come to the realisation that there isn't really many cars I want to change it for, so I'm looking at keeping it long term and doing some customisation to it. New paint and spruce up the interior.

This is what the interior looks like at present:

I was thinking along the lines of having the entire dash covered in maybe a light pastel blue leather to offset the grey and match up with the new pain. And do something similar on the front door cards where they are currently plastic to offset the grey leather (ok vinyl biggrin ) on there already.

Thanks.

Sorry I cant help you with the price of the leather retrim.

Another option would be having the dash and door cards flocked? It can be done in just abiout any colour you want. It's not to everyones tastes but worth putting the option forward to you.

Here are a few examples if you dont know what it is

Yes Red, I think you're absolutely right there. It's well and truly flocked.

That blue looks pretty cool. Isn't flock what they normally use on rally and race cars?

Any ideas where I could get someone to do this as I'd be after a more professional finish than what I could achieve myself? Cheers.

Yeah it's used on rally/race cars as it prevents the glare from the shiney dashboard, if i remember correctly you'd be looking at £75-100 for someone to do the dash.

Lots of places do flocking these days, where do you live?

This place comes highly recommended from the lads on the passionford forum, if theyre not local to you you could always courier it there and back, either way drop Raj a pm he's a friendly bloke.
