Yet I've carried my hand cream and small tin of vaseline in my hand baggage ever since this rule and never had them found.
Quite
I've spent so many hours queueing in security gates that I've devised the most perfect way in my head to get things through. It's amazing the simplicity with which it could be done, while at the same time the whole process seeming so "water tight".

I took my contact lense solution through with me last time. Around 300ml and they asked what it was, and I said contact lense solution. Their response "OK that's fine". It could have been anything when I think about it.Devilstreak said:

It is quite annoying when the person in front takes an absolute age to get through the process because they haven't read the instructions posted all over the airport properly.
