He denies attempted murder
I know I shouldn't laugh, but that is quite funny.

To be honest, if i were that teacher id probably have done the same. Kids just dont behave any more because the law protects them from any sort of disipline, even the weighted sort. At least hte little st learnt the hard way.

My mate teaches in a rough school, he manages to get them to behave. Some people are just crap teachers, but 100% protected by unions.

Teachers should be there to teach, not become social workers for our feckless youth. Of course some teachers are better at dealing with twunts than others.

I can see how it could have got out of control but the teacher's reaction was a little excessive. Mind you we had a physics teacher like that, used to line up whole classes and slap them round the face. Would think nothing of throwing NiFe cells or retort stands at people.

Yep. Many "parents" think schools are there to teach discipline. Just because you have a womb, you don't have a right to use it. FFS.

If teachers were allowed to do this to one child in each class, I think it would help make the rest of the children think twice before fking about. As long as the teacher doesn't do it too often. A swift beating in the formative years never did any real harm... ETA: apart from to the skull and brain, but what doesn't kill you and all that. Character forming.

Perhaps not hitting around the head with weights, though?

You are quite right, there does need to be limits. Perhaps closed fist, but no weapons. Open hand if it's a female obviously...

There is never an excuse to stove a 14 year old's skull in with a dumbell.

Teacher should have walked out of the class or dealt with it in a correct fashion not chase people around and beat them to within an inch of their life!

I agree that kids nowadays are absolute little bds, and can take the piss in a big way, and yes no doubt the kid in question was being an out of control loon and is probably a right little git. But he should be dealt with properly, aren't teachers taught how to deal with these sorts of kids? If the guy had been off sick with some sort of mental issues shouldn't he be assessed before being allowed infront of a class of kids again?
