We get this in work every now and then, usually we just ask the policyholder to provide a letter from themselves stating that they arn't trading etc etc, if they then claim and it turns out they were trading it dosn't look good!.
Have you spoken to a manager at the insurer just to explain that you like changing car's they may be more flexible if you give them reason's for it, it's only dodgy if people change car's often and don't give reasons (obviously may vary per insurer)

I have spoke to a couple of insuance companys and theyve said if i have a bump and a claim goes through i have to have a recipt from my sales and purchases of the cars to prove i havent made a profit.
But with some cars you get a good bargain so your going to sell for a bit of a profit but i wouldnt say it trading as i use the cars for fun sell one buy another im not making a living of it as i work all week.
So do i sell all my cars at a loss are do i limit myself to one a year?

I suppose it will depend on insure but with ourselves its usually around 6 that questions may be asked (although it may vary slightly), it is a grey area unfortunately on average how many car's do you go through in a year??
