http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1665788.htm

Spotted this, contacted him, he came back to me right away.

I paid via bank transfer after a few backwards and forwards emails.

Now I have had no response. With hindsight, it seems pretty cheap and an easy way to upgrade from 16gb to 32gb - if things seem too good to be true... etc?

He supplied me with an address and mobile contact number, no answer from mobile, have called and text.

You know when you get a bad feeling?

You could try "Report to Admin", as they might be able to give you more details.

I'll hold out for the rest of the day, give him the benefit of the doubt.

If not, then I'll be enlisting the super-sleuthness of PH!

I know it far too well.

In this case, you should have some comeback.

Well if he doesn't give you the phone or pay up, you could maybe ask one the the PH Spies to do some investigating for you to find his address, presuming he hasn't provided you with the correct one in first place.

Then.........well you know.

Was the email address a hotmail/yahoo type one or ISP/own domain?

Oh for sure, if this had gone tits up and I have to drive to the opposite side of the country, rest assured I will be!

I have his bank details, so presumably the police would be keen to hear of the fraud?

There should be a loophole - say you didn't authorise it?!

Can't believe you didn't phone him first.

I know. How stupid can you get!

I did it over the counter in my branch as didn't have access to card reader - so it's kinda obvious I authorised it.

Why not just list an Iphone with his pics, take the £340 from the next gillible smuk, and you will be all square?

The mobile is a lie, there's no chance the address he gave you is his.

The "come and collect in person" is a nice touch, adds an air of authenticity to it.

- Google the email address and see if anything comes up
-Can you search facebook via email addresses?
-if you place his email in your hotmail/google/other compatible addressbok LinkedIn cans search against you contact email addresses and show if the individual is listed. (unlikely but worth a try).
